"Eureka is the best hands-on museum for children, it has been designed for chidren aged 2- 11 years, and it is just fantastic, my children, aged 6 and 9, just want to go there again, and again, they never bore of it.

There are loads of exhibits which children can touch and play with and it creates a whole hands on experience, you can find out how the body and senses work, esplore sound, rhythm and performance, look at far away places and much, much more.There is even a section designed especially for the under 5's.

They also do birthday party packages and visits for schools

All though for a whole family of four it is not a cheap day out, it is well worth it, especially if it is another rainy day,as it is all inside. Get there early though, it opens from 10am until 5pm, as there is plenty to do for a whole day

Enjoy lunch or a snack in the museum cafe, or take your own and use the outdoor picnic area

For safety all children must be with an adult and there is wheelchair access.It is easily accessible by car, bus and train and is open every day except 24-26 th December."
