"What can I say it truly is a great place to go especial if you have kids?
We take our two for there birthdays and also go just for the nice walk during the summer, pack up a picnic and your good to go,
I find that every time we go we see different animal as the place is so big that you just never seem to get round the whole place in one go and they are always getting in new animals.
Edinburgh zoo is the largest and most exciting wildlife attraction in Scotland, committed to the highest standards of animal welfare, conservation and environmental education.
You can meet over 1,000 wonderful animals, in the beautiful parkland on the outskirts of Edinburgh. And you can also enjoy a wide range of visitor facilities, from free hilltop safari rides to the top of the hill.
Children's play areas, restaurants, gift shops and there are also a lot of events and activates for you to do through out the year.
Edinburgh zoo is owned by the royal zoological society of Scotland. The society was funded in March 1909, and the zoo opened in July 1913
Some of the animals you can see here are babirusa, bongo, camel, painted hunting dog, the blue poison arrow frog, jaguar, koala, lions, monkey and many more.
The things my two loved the most were the penguin march, and the sea lion show, they just loved to see the animals doing tricks"
