"Well what can I say I wouldn't want to live there but it is a really great place to go on a holiday? It is a very quiet place, there are a nice selection of shops hotels and coffee shops, and due to the fact that there aren't any big supermarkets or clothes shops the place isn't over crowded, the only people you are likely to see here are the people that live here and those on holiday, they have a very large selection of lovely and homely feeling B&Bs I have stayed in a few of them and always found them to be really friendly and welcoming. While there you can take the ferry over to Orkney for the day and visit all the sites there. You can also go to the very tip of Scotland john o' Groats.
You can go 10 pin bowling at the Viking bowl, swimming in there local swimming pool. They have a gym golf course and putting green. Also if you are into to active sports you can go to the tennis courts, squash club, badminton club, volleyball club, or the lawn bowls club. But if you prefer night life they have a great selection if pubs and night clubs For the kids there are plenty of play grounds and then there is also the beach which you can take them to. While here you can also go windsurfing or jet skiing, or even go for a relaxing fish in the river thurso. I would love to go back again, all I need to do is try and find the time in between all our normal holidays that we have to do each year to visit family" Was this recommendation useful?
