"A gorgeous little county full of really nice little towns and villages, I used to live in one of them called Haverhill, which is only a few short miles from Cambridge so if shopping is your thing your are going to love visiting here, even Haverhill its self has a dozen or so clothes shops, several take away, a dozen pubs and a night club and the arts centre.
For things to do in Suffolk why not try one of the following 1) visit the Woodbridge Tidemill built in 1793 and been restored and open to the pubic since 1973 2) Visit the West Stow Anglo Saxon Village where you can take a look around and see how it is imaged the Anglo Saxon houses would have been. 3) Visit the Ipswich transport museum 4) Visit the Suffolk owl sanctuary near stowmarket 5) Visit Africa Alive – African Animal Adventure we took our oldest child here for his second birthday and he just loved it For nice walk and picnics why not go to on of the country parks – Calre castle Country Park in Clare, Orwell Country Park in Ipswich or Brandon Country Park in Brandon. But if you prefer to spend your time looking into the arts then there is also plenty for you to do as well why not visit the Bury St Edmunds Art Gallery. If it wasn't for the fact that I didn't have any family near by I would have love to have stayed living in Suffolk, and so some reason it barely ever seemed to rain, the one thing I did miss is the fact that it only ever seems to snow for 1 day a year and its always gone by the next morning" Was this recommendation useful?
