"Blue Dolphin is a fantasic holiday park located on the cliffs, looking across the bay to Filey. My family, 2 young boys aged 5 and 9 all had a great time here last August and didn't want to come home. We were lucky in that the weather was gorgous and we spent many a happy hour playing on the beach, but even if it had been raining there was still plenty to do. There are various Kids Clubs depending on the children's ages, my boys both joined the Rory and Bradly Club, where they had morning, and afternoon activities . These ranged from making things, treasure hunts, stories with the characters, pantomines, parties and numerous other things. In the evenng there are children's discos, entertainment and live shows right through midnight.
There is a fab swimming pool and splash zone, and you can have swimming lessons, my eldest got a certficate for doing the scuba diving course.
For food you are spoiled for choice, there is Burger King, Traditional Fish and Chips and a superb Restaurant, There is a shop to buy food if you prefer to cook yourself , the facilties to cook your own in your caravan are just as good as at home, with full size cooker, microwave and fridge-freezer.
There are a good selection of caravans , depending on how much you want to pay and you can even take your own.The park is open from March through until October, and is mainly flat so suitable for people in wheelchairs, young children and the elderly.
If you wanted to you could stay on the site for the whole holiday and be completely entertained day and night but for those of you who want to explore further, there are loads of things to do in the area , including the Yorkshire Moors and Dales, the Victorian resort of Scarborough, York and the Yorvik Centre, Flamingoland, and of course Filey itself, which is a traditional seaside town with great beaches for sunbathing and building sandcastles.
All in all a fab resort that my family cannot fault, I am sure once you have been you will say the same!!"
