Almond Valley a great place to take kids

"Almond Valley can be found just out side of Edinburgh, almond valley is a really great place to take the kids weather its for a one of treat or for there birthday they will have a fun packed day and wont want to leave, they recommend that you give your self at least three hours to make sure you fit every thing in. we have taken our little ones twice so far and are hopping to take them back again during the October break. The things you can do here are –
Visit the narrow gauge railway
Go to the display barn where can see vehicles and far machinery from over the years
Visit there museum, where you can see discover fossils, crawl through tunnels and blow oily bubbles, there are just a few of the things you can do in the museum.
Take the kids to the outside play park and picnic area, or if you would prefer you can go to the Morag's milk bar and get snack, light meals and homemade baked goods. They have 2 separate play areas one for children under six, which is a soft play area where they can bounce around, the other, is for children six to twelve where they can run around an old oilwork. You can take them to the various paddocks to see a wide range of animals, or if they would prefer why not take them to the animal house where they are guaranteed to see goats, sheep, cows and horses and other such animals. Make sure to visit the new life barn where they can pet some soft cuddly animals. The one thing both of the kids always seem to love if going to the milking byre where you can take the kids to see a demonstration of cows being milked, and don't forget to visit the Livingston mill where you can see how power has harnessed to grind cereals for over 200 years, and if you still have time lest then take a nice walk along the river. This is a lovely place to go as a family there are thing for every one to enjoy."
