"One of the small villages in the greater Glasgow areas, the town has a small selection of shops, including butchers, fish mongers and the normal selection of small convenient stores, they have a small selection of pubs and one small café, there is a rather nice large park for the little ones to play at, and for the visitors the there is the David Livingston centre museum, and also the gardens around the house where you can go for a walk and have a picnic, there is also a really nice sand park for the little children to play at, all though there isn't a lot to do in Blantyre it's a great place to stay, or even just to stop in and visit, but if you are staying then you might want to visit the other surrounding towns for things to do, such as cinema, skating, go karting, and even skiing on the indoor sloop which is just a few short"
