"These cottages set in over an acre of private garden with private tennis court and fell walks direct from the door set the standard for accommodation in The Lake District. Nothing is left to chance, from the nutmeg grinder in the kitchen to the accommodation of Pets.
We took our dog, and 2 year old and had one of the most magical weeks possible.
On arrival there was fresh bread and a pot of Home made jam, plum I think, and tea, coffee and milk as well. We needn't have gone out that evening to shop. They have thought of everything.
The next day, after reading through the comprehensive information booklet, we set off up the bridle path that the cottages are situated on, and walked for a couple of hours to a local pub for lunch. We could have walked a lot further, but we returned to the fire in The Old Grain Store and let our two year old surf the sattelite tv for cebeebies.
He was happy, we were happy, a week was too short!"

We tried Mirefoot Cottages, and have already booked again!
Brilliant and perfect for pets as well as they are on a bridle path not a road!
