"As the locals drive by and take for granted this park, visitors can freely park at numerous car parks and explore the history of this great open space. Starting with the dinosaur lakes; the life size models are full of detail and descriptions of their living habitats and nourishment can be found dotted about the lakes on boards. Or if you dont fancy travelling back to the dinosaurs how about trying your navigational skills in the hedged maze where if you are lucky enough to reach the centre you can sit and relax before thinking about your way out. Also you can walk amongst the ruins of the original crystal palace site, an exhibition hall built solely of glass in 1851 and sadly was burnt to the ground in 1936. The park itself was opened by Queen Victoria in 1854 and now aswell as a great park for adults and children alike also hosts a multi sports complex so if you are lucky you may meet a famous sports personality going to train in the olympic pools. Make sure you check out the remote control car race circuit too. A day out not to be regretted."
