"Based at the very end of Torquay Harbour you will be entertained by the wildlife here and learn more about the birds and mammals natural habitat. The living coasts is designed exactly like how the animals in the wild live although in fairness this is partically wild as all that stops the birds leaving is at net secured around the area. Penguins freely roam the area so becareful where you step. Back inside and watch out as you walk through the underwater tunnel and see the seals playing, before discovering the life of the black rat. When you have seen the animals check out the interactive stations in the research area and see just how much you have learnt, you may even surprise yourself and the kids can play and colour in the pictures here while you sit down for a five minute break, before you get dragged off by the children to the cafe or gift shop. Living coasts has really opened my eyes to alot, as well as a fasinating day out it taught me things I had never considered or gave any tought to. Although it doesnt look very big from the outside remember appearances are not everything. Wheelchairs and pushchairs/prams are welcome."
