"As the locals just drive through without taking a second glance this town center has more history to offer than anywhere else I can think of. With the wide variety of pubs, clubs and restaurants you will be spoilt for choose. If you fancy a bit of shopping then try out the numerous unique shops which sell everything from from everyday newspaper to unusual pipes and dress wear and gifts for every occassion. Or search for a bargain around the atiques market. For sight seeing you wont get more of a selection than here in Greenwich, starting with the park enjoy a relaxing stroll or observe the wildlife or take a row in the boating lake, on a nice day this is an ideal location for a picnic; at the top of the park visit the Royal Observatory first built in the 1600's admire the structure work at get a view of the surrounding area at the very centre of time as we know it. Down at the bottom of the park stands The National Maritime Museum, entry is free and was first opened in 1937, containing everything from art to models to real sailed boats this Museum has something to entertain everyone. Back into the town centre for the Cutty Sark boat, a tea clipper used up until 1877 then later until 1895 was used to carry wool around the world. Once on board you can explore the decks and experience life on the clipper, now standing in dry dock a has been open to the public sonce the middle of the 1950's. If you have time after all of this how about taking a river boat cruise from Greenwich pier up the Thames as far as Hampton court Palace. Greenwich is definately a place of excitment and is full of things to do, I have only covered a few but it would be a great shame to miss out on this unique town full of heritage and culture."
