"A visit to Foxton Locks is a lovely afternoon out. It is both interesting and satisfying with lovely walks and a great pub.
Foxton Locks is situated about 3 miles North West of Market harbour.
Driving here is simple with well connected roads and is right in the countryside of Leicestershire. A truly beautiful setting. You will find the locks themselves busy all the year round so when you get here you will almost definately see boaters gradually working their way up or down the mamoth 10 locks.
Other things in the area are the Foxton Locks inn, shops, coffee shop and another little pub that was not open when we visited. I'll talk about the Inn in another recommendation because it was truly a lovely country pub!
Please come and vistit the locks as I'm sure you won't be disapointed. All in all a lovely day out for a drink, meal and walk with interesting entertainment thrown in!"
