"This pub has only recently opened up with a newly fitted bar/restaurant. We discovered it early this year and have been back many times since. When you walk in it's obvious that this isn't just any pub. It feels like a lot of money has been spent fitting it out and there is a truly lovely atmosphere. We tend to go for lunch and it is always nice and busy.
On a summers day you can sit out on the large patio and watch the boats going up and down Foxton Locks. This is a fantastic Tourist attraction that's both interesting and relaxing.
When you can sit and watch all this going on, why would you want to go to any other pub?
There's a large selection of beers and wines, and you will find Foxton Locks Inn in the good pub guide.
On the last minute I had a Salmon Salad and My partner had A prawn baguette. Both come lovely presented on smart square plates and the bagette had a side salad and chips. The sauce was gorgeous (or rather what he allowed me to taste!). My salad was just right too. The price of the food was a very reasonable £13.00 for both dishes. Considering the setting and presentation we felt this was very good.
The staff were very pleasant and prompt. There were a few families around and high chairs so this is also a lovely family destination.
After lunch we took a walk around the locks which was a lovely way to finish off the afternoon.
If I could I would upload some pictures of the interior but as I can only load one picture, I uploaded this one of the outside that I found.
