Heaven in PorthlevenPorthlevenCornwall, England South West Review added: 29/01/2006 11:24 By: pattijohn (£0.00 earned from reviews) Earn £££'s
"I have been visiting Porthleven in Cornwall for many years, and have stayed in a cottage situated on the harbour edge. It is a dream to visit Porthleven and to just look out over the tiny harbour dotted with loads of fishing boats and further across to the beach and sea where most days you can watch the surfers.
There are several lovely eating places (fresh fish in abundance)including restaurants, a hotel , a cornish pasty shop and the 17th century'Ship Inn'situated along the harbour edge with windows looking out to sea, which is famous for its smuggling as shown on the recent BBC series titled'History Mysteries'. There are many coastal walks but the best and prettiest must be from Porthleven to Loe Bar approx.8 miles there and back.As the days slowly close you can watch the glorious sun sets over heavenly Porthleven." | |
