"Market Gates is situated in the centre of Great Yarmouth. There are two ways you can enter the centre. One is from the Market Place (where there are many more shops to boot such as Argos, Woolworths, WHSmith, Boots and co-op).
As you walk up to the shopping centre there is Dorothy Perkins and Boots on the outside and D2 on the other side(see piccy). From this entrance there are big automatic doors and a large Market Gates sign at the top (hence you cant miss the place!). This is the only entrance which is suitable for wheelchair/disability access though.

As you walk into the completely non-smoking centre you will see an array of shops. There is a flower shop on the left, along with Claire's Accessories, Peacocks, Wilko's, three card shops and a computer games shop or two as you walk up the slope. Also there's a shop that sells all sorts of delicious sweets from times past. Wilkino's is a large store and is very popular. It always gets very busy in here.

There are benches situated in this shopping centre which is handy if you are worn out and need a short break. You will also find Iceland in here and a jeweller.

There is a large cafeteria called The Lighthouse cafe which can be accessed easily from any entrance.
There are toilets in this cafeteria but are down some stairs. These sell a wide range of food and drink including snacks and hot drinks. There is plenty of seating and if you can get a seat by the windows you will get a view of St George's Park and the town.

Opposite The Lighthouse is Mothercare - with toilets in them and an area where you can feed and change your baby. There is a book shop and a few charity shops. Just down from where Mothercare is, is Iceland. From here you can access the multi-story carpark. There are toilets in here too on the way to the carpark which are disabled friendly. Iceland is just around the corner from Wilkinsons. Shoe Zone is next door to Iceland also.

There are full-time security staff on in the shopping centre and a cleaner too to make it clean and presentable at all times.

At the bottom of the esculators are are other very small outlets like a mobile phone shop, a place where you can buy towels, blankets etc. And outside the centre there is a large store called under £5 - where everything is under a fiver! Great if you are on a budget and want to buy clothes for the kids!
The bus station can also be found here. It's not very pleasant to look at but still, you can still catch a bus to anywhere local. Clinton Cards are by the esculator side entrance along with Pizza Hut.

Markets Gates Shopping Centre is not the largest shopping centre - but saying that Great Yarmouth is not huge either! There are plenty of shops to browse around though. I don't think you'll go in there and come out with nothing!"
