"A lovely morning or afternoon can be had by all at this fantastic place! There's plenty to see, animals and a very old country house. Go during lambing season and watch lovely lambies being born. There are pigs and cows and horses too, and children are more than welcome to ask questions. The main house is a museum and often you can find someone in the kitchens cooking and giving out samples of what has been prepared on the old fashioned range. Again children can participate in certain activities. The house is still laid out as it would have been in the 18th Century and is quite something!

I would say that it's suitable mainly for the younger child. There's a little cafe and shop too.

It's a good place to visit for an hour or so."
