"If you are in Edinburgh be sure not to miss the Witchery Tour.
The tour is based around the older parts of the city, close to Edinburgh castle, and is a great way to learn about the hidden parts of the city.
The tour starts at the Witchery Restuarant on the Royal Mile a few hundred yards from the castle. The first stop is just outside the castle gates where you will learn the gruesome fate of those accused of being witches. The tour than moves on around the back alleyways and darker side streets, with a tale of horror attached to just about every location. Your guide for this tour is an actor playing a deceased character. He is accompanied by a second actor(called the mad monk) who takes on a variety of roles as the tour progresses. Be prepared to be scared when the second bloke jumps out of dark alleyways in a ariety of costumes, though he does add a great deal of humour. This tour is a great way to see parts of the city that you would not walk around alone, it is cheap and great fun. It is not too scary either so please don't let that aspect put you off. The Witchery Tour is not something that you should miss."
