"Strada is an Italian restaurant in Parson's Green in South West London. Part of a chain but good quality food.
FOOD Good quality large pizzas cooked in a wood burning oven, and a selection of other dishes including meat, fish and pasta. Absolutely un-missable is the Fordente al cacao -a hot chocolate pudding with melting chocolate inside and ice cream on top, costing £4.50. GORGEOUS! Get one to share, even if you are really full! We ordered a starter but it came at the same time as the mains unfortunately. Don't bother with the pesto topped bread if you are getting pizza – it is yummy, but the pizzas are big and they taste pretty similar. Good starter if you are getting a non-pizza dish though. DRINK Complimentary bottled water kept coming. It is in classy bottles so I was concerned that we would be charged, but you can have as much as you like for free. Standard selection of wine and teas (I find earl grey a nice accompaniment to pudding). COST Pizza around £9, Beef £16.50 the most expensive main. Starters £2 – 4 Tea £1.60 Medium priced wine £16 (Pino Grigio blush sounds like it should be a rose but it is a white wine). WHO Good for friends or couples. LAYOUT Two floors, various sizes tables but mainly for two. Can be pushed together for parties. HOW TO GET THERE 175 New King's Road, London, SW6 4SW near Parson's Green station on the district line." | |
