"We almost missed Living Coasts, it's an aquatic visitor attraction, focusing on the conservation of coastal and marine life. I didn't think there'd be that much there but I was very wrong.
We spent a great day there and had a lot of fun. The tufted puffins (pictured) were the best, very active and funny. I had to drag my son away to the next display.
The attraction has been very sympathetically put together. You walk around on wooden gang plants and the whole place is planted with coastal flora and fauna. The show stealers were, of course, the seals, puffins and penguins, but it was all interesting. one of my sons favourite bits was the under water viewing and interactive display. There was just so much more to do there than I had imagined.
Of Course, Living Coasts has the obligatory cafe and gift shop. These were both very nice, and I managed to get away with some change in my purse!
