"Lightwater Valley was fabulous. I'd passed it so many times on the A1 and wondered what it was like. We decided to go there for my son's birthday, and what a great choice it was!
We were a real mixed bunch, I'm a dare devil, my boy is getting braver, my best friend doesn't like anything fast or scary and her two kids throw up if you drive too fast! Lightwater had something to appeal to everyone though.
We all loved the Octopus by the end of the day, and the Falls of Terror (although you do get a wet bum!). I got to go one of the longest roller coaster rides I'd ever known while my mate and the kids raced round on the skate karts. It was a strangley relaxing day. None of the queues were unbearable and everything felt quite close - you didn't have to do hours of walking.
I would definately go back to Lightwater Valley, we had so much fun there and didn't get to do half of it. There's also a shopping village and bird of prey centre there, but we sadly ran out of time.
