"If you want to treat a loved one or yourself to a luxury break look no further than booking into Seckford Hall in Suffolk.

This is a fantastic Tudor building retaining lots of original features they have succeeded in marrying the modern with the old. It has beautiful grounds and a large lake, when we stayed there was a wedding taking place which looked truly magical.

All of the staff were friendly and the service at Reception and in the Restaurant were first class.

Guests can stay within the hotel or a courtyard complex. Our room was fantastic, we stayed in the Tudor Room which had a Elizabethan Four-Poster Bed and Spa Bath, it was a good size room though the stairs going upto the rooms were creaky and a bit uneven but this just added to its charm.

The hotel has 2 restaurants we dined at the Hotel Restaurant and was very impressed by the food there is a large selection of fish and game dishes.

The hotel also has a swimming pool and beauty salon across the road is Seckford Golf Course.

Seckford Hall is an ideal base to explore the surrounding area nearby is Snape Maltings with it craft shops and Concert Hall, Aldeburgh is about a 30 minute drive away and Woodbridge only 10 minutes away.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this atmospheric hotel and look forward to staying there again."
