"A fantastic day out is to be had at Grizdale forest. It is a stone's throw from Hawkshead Village in the quaint Lake district. I fully reccomend staying close to Ambleside, which is more lively and a good base for travelling out from, if staying a couple of days. Go Ape is not for the faint hearted. It is designed to be enjoyed by the whole family, but it is a high wire assault course. You get full guidance from well trained instructors, you have a quick practice on the ground, then you are left to get on with it."
