A break in lovely Hunstanon in Norfolk.Hunstanton, Norfolk, England East Of EnglandRecommendation added: 26/02/2007 19:43 By: bbasher (YSUK rating +5) bbasher has been thanked 5 times for this contribution
"Hunstanton is a pretty little seaside town on the North Nofolk coast. Every where you go you will find pretty flower beds. One key feature in Hunstanton is the large slopping green in the heart of the town. This offers a stunning views of the coast. Here you will find a large pub / restaurant / hotel called the Golden Lion. Outside you can enjoy the views from the benches. Inside is a little tired, but I believe it's currently being renovated so will be ready for the new holiday season.
You will find a lovely sandy beach under the cliffs at old Hunstanton that is served by a large carpark, ever so convenient for those big picnics we all love. If it's accommodation you require, Hunstanton is well served by Manor park and the huge Searles holiday parks. We've enjoyed breaks at Searles previously and I can highly recommend it. There is a small funfair between the holiday parks and the town. In all honesty, this is now quite tatty and good do with a bit of investment. The sea never moves out more than a few metres so is great for the beach lovers and swimmers. Last summer Hunstanton hosted a huge water skiing competition. For lunch I would highly recommend The Bears fish and chip shop. From the outside it doesn't look like much and quite small, but when you go inside you will see there is plenty of seating which is good for all weathers. A couple of attractions I would recommend is the Sealife centre and the sea monster for trips to go out and see the seals. I would highly recommend Hunstanton for a fun family break."
