"Maxi's Express provides quality oriental food, traditional Chinese pastries and Japanese Sushi.
The restaurant is decorated in oriental style and there plenty of gold dragons and lanterns on display the decoration is very fitting and I thought the placed looked great. I'm assuming it must also be the year of the pig in China as there were plenty of little Piggy's pictures around.'
We visited on a Sunday and had the all day Sunday buffet for 7.95. The staff were amazing friendly. I took my baby son and they were really good with him and showed him attention and smiled at him when they pasted. They have a lift to get down to the buffet area which is great when you have a pushchair so no need to struggle with stairs. My son was offered a highchair and he sat at the table with us.
Its self service and you can go up as many times as you like. For starters we had soup there were two to choice from chicken and sweetcorn of vegetable. There was prawn cracker and bread rolls available. There was also a selection of spring rolls, and battered vegetables and other nibbles.
For the main course there was fried rice and an other rice and a wide range of oriental dishes and a mixture of meat and veggie options. I had fried rice and sweet chicken dish which was lovely.
There was also a large selection of desserts available including fruits but I opted for the unhealthy option of a pastry tart and soft ice cream which was yummy. We had large drinks with the buffet and the bill came to less than twenty pounds for the two of us. I was pleasantly surprised at what a large selection of food was on offer at such as classy restaurant for such a good price. When we went there it was mostly young families in. I can see why it would be popular with families as the staff are so great with kids and its such a good price. Helping yourself might not suit everyone and for those who don't want the buffet they have a A-la carte Chinese and Sushi menus available upon request. I had a very enjoyable time and can highly recommend Maxi's express.

Maxi's Express is located on The Balcony level at the Light shopping complex in the centre of Leeds. The Light is located just off the Headrow.
The car park can be accessed via Dudley Way off Great George Street on the Leeds City Loop. Warning I found this car park very expensive. It was 2.70 for one hour which I personally think is far too much to pay and on Sundays on street parking is free. Also we ended up lifting the pushchair down a flight of stairs or the other option is to risk up a ramp that the cars come down not a very safe option.
