"Attention!! To all those seeking a perfect Sunday Roast.
My partner and I travel to Lincoln every weekend to visit family and therefore we eat out every Sunday. We have visited lots of pubs and restaurants in the area and although they are all great value for money did not find that special place that we were waiting to shout from the rooftops about. We found the Crown by accident and it is closer to Newark than Lincoln. We were at the end of the A57, about 1 mile from the McDonald services at the A1. We spotted a sign for "Gastro Pub" and found The Crown. We could tell immediately that the pub was well looked after from the decor inside and out. There was a really nice beer garden at the rear but as it was February this might not be enjoyed for a few months. The Sunday roast was choice of lamb, pork or beef. We both had Pork that was so tender, with the crispiest crackling and vegetables that were just mouth watering. The staff were friendly and the meals were brilliant value for money.
