"We wanted something different from the big cities, and found Bishop's Stortford close to our airport after searching the internet.
We chose Avery House from the impression given on their webpage, and was not disappointed. Friendly hosts, a first class room and excellent breakfast made our stay an undisputable sucsess. There was a lovely diningroom and a garden in which we could relax when we wanted.
Coming from Norway and spending three days we had a very relaxing time in a nice little town full of friendly people. We are detirmined to go back.
We did not visit any special sights, but we learnt to find our way there and enjoyed the calm and relaxing atmosphere. Everything one needs is in walking distance.
We especially enjoyed a quiet walk along the river Stort to the village Sawbridgeworth. We went by train back to Bishop's Stortford.
Communications are easy. 35 mins. by train to London, and about the same to Cambridge. The bus to Stansted takes about 15 mins, and from there one can go to anywhere it seemed by bus or train.
We surely enjoyed our stay thanks to the reasons given here, but again: The reason for our stay being so enjoyable was our choice of B&B. Thanks to Jacki and Andrew."
