"I recently took some friends with their young children to a place called Wonderland, which is located right in the middle of a five acre park in Telford town centre. The first you know of it is a sign in the playground area, then, after a short walk to arrive at the gates. You can take a train journey (a tractor which is made up to look like a train)-with a very jolly train driver!. Once inside you are given a map which is very comprehensive. The entry price is £4.50 for a adult and £3.00 for a child (cheaper mid week). Dont get me wrong, it isn't going to keep you busy for 8 hours, but it is a very pleasant way to spent a morning or an afternoon. it is set in woodland and you follow a trail which takes you to various attractions such as a teddy bears picnic or snow whites house. There are also life size dinosuars with informative questions and answers and buttons to press to hear them "roar" which the kids loved!
There are also rides for the younger kids and ( a very complicated) maze which we got lost in for a good 20 minutes. The best of all is the castle where you can wither buy food or eat your picnic. Better still is a huge soft play area with ball pit and slides etc where the kids can play while you eat in peace.

The place is full of wildlife including squirrels which run around and even eat you sandwiches if you offer them!

A whole section is dedicated to the "Winter Wonderland" which would be magical for little ones at Christas time, including more rides and even Father Christmas!

We saw everything in around 2 hours (although it was a cold day so it was very quiet and I would imagine it would get very busy in the summer time. The kids loved it and there was even a gift shop to buy a reminder of their day out.

If the kids still have too much energy, there is the biggest playground I have evere seen on the way back to the car park including pirate ships, sand pits, swings and slides galore....

On the whole, a good day out for the whole familt that wont break the bank!"
