"Flamborough Head is a fantastic area of chalk cliff, about 400 feet high and dizzyingly beautiful. There's a huge variety of nesting sea birds and lots of different plants and wildlife species. It really does make a beautiful walk.
Our only problem with Flamborough is the access. You have to be reasonably fit to cope with the steep gradients and the headland itself is pretty stony. We quickly realised it wasn't as suitable for elderly relatives and rather unfortunately just tend to visit when it's us and the kids.
Don't miss the lighthouse while you're there, and be aware that the edge of the cliff is not fenced in any way. In this sense, you may want to consider carefully before taking very young children."
