"A huge 12 acre area of green in Ballymena town centre.
It holds the best kids playground for miles around with two sections. The small under 7's area has been well thought out and doesn't feel like an after thought for the little ones. There are plently of swings, slides, see-saws and things for toddlers to safely clamber over.
The older children have a great area too with a huge "curly whurly" slide, balance beam, tyre swings, climbing section and wire slide.
Nice walk around garden which also holds tennis courts, bowling green, picnic areas and large pond full of wildlife.
There is a pavillion for refreshments and toilet facilities along with showers.
Plans for the furture include crazy golf.
Free parking and regular ice-cream truck visits.
Open: 1st April to 30th Sept - 8am to 10pm daily
1st Oct to 31st March - 8am to 6pm daily
Kids don't mind the half hour drive from our house to get to this park! Nice, cheap day out."

I love parks like this - shame we live so far away cos it sounds the kind of place my kids' would love. We have a couple of similar parks in Birmingham but always like to try different ones!
