"I know this may seem sad but it we actually only spotted this pub because it is called the Woolpack and those of you who watch Emmerdale will recognise the name. What we actually found was a very nice country pub which served good food and a good selection of drinks at very good prices. I think that we have found a great place that we will definitely return to in the future. So here I will let you know why if you are in the Staffordshire area and you fancy a drink or some food why you should give the Woolpack a go.
-----
The Woolpack:
This place is certainly described as a pub and it very much feels and looks like one from the outside and in.
-----
Where is it?
The address is as follows;
The Woolpack Inn
The Green
Weston
Stafford
Staffordshire
ST18 0JH
It is very easy to find as it is on the main road A51 and then you just have to take a left turn and you will see it on your right.
-----
Location:
This pub is in quite a perfect location as it is right in the heart of Staffordshire and is quite easily accessible from the main road of the A51 so you should be able to find it if you want to visit. It is also in a good spot to reach Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent and nearby areas such as Sandon which is very nice to take a walk around.
The main place this pub is by though that I think people will like is Amerton farm which is a very nice farm with animals, a few shops and a garden centre and I can quite happily spend a few hours there so it is well worth a visit. It is also in a sweet little village which is very pretty so views in the pub are lovely.
-----
Parking:
The car park is quite big and we managed to find a space very easily which was good. The pub was quite busy when we walked in but many of them were locals to the village so I supposed they simply walked.
-----
Outside Appearance:
From the outside it looks lovely here as the village seems very quaint and sweet and the scenery is stunning. The pub is situated on the village green so as you can imagine it is nice there. I was also talking to a village member and they were saying that they play cricket matches on the green and have a lot of village events going on which seemed quite sweet as the whole village gets involved.
Also in the pub there is al lovely beer garden which is where we ate and it is surrounded with all of these beautiful pink blossom trees so it is really nice and there are a lot of tables so seating is not a problem. The actual pub looks lovely from the outside with a nice bright appearance and looks very welcoming.
-----
Inside Appearance:
When you walk inside it does look just as you would a pub to expect with lots of seating and a very large bar. The appearance is quite old as there are beams everywhere as it has a very cottage look which I really do like. Then everywhere is clean and I did check all over the place and it was just all very nice indeed and it is obvious that the staff take a lot of care over the place.
-----
Drinks:
It is a pub after all so as you can imagine the bar is very well stocked up with all sorts of drinks. I didn't seen an actual drinks list but I am sure there is one and the staff seemed friendly enough to just ask them if you could have any drink and they would find out how to make it. The drinks are reasonably priced with my lemonade being £1.50 and an archers and lemonade being £2.20.

Food:
The food selection here is great with all of your traditional pub classics such as your lasagne and your burgers. Then they have some good choices such as quite a few curry's which I like and then pasta dishes and on the menu they do give you some choice on vegetarian options which is great.
We didn't have a starter when we visited as we always like to keep ourselves available for puddings as we love them. The starters though were things like soup and mushrooms, basically the ones you would expect to find at a pub. For a main I had a curry which was so yummy and only £5 which was very reasonably priced. My fiancé had scampi which was £6 and my friends had steak and pasta which were £8 and £5 respectively. All portions were very big so you don't have to worry about going away hungry but there are lighter options available if you can never manage a main meal like my sister.
We all had puddings and they were delightful. Everyone had a selection including chocolate cakes, apple pies and apple crumble. What me and a friend had though were the best and they were sundaes which were huge. All pudding were about £4 each.

Verdict:
The Woolpack is an extremely nice place situated in a truly stunning area and there are so many attractions that are right on its doorstep. The pub is very pleasant to be inside and outside is brilliant with lots of privacy as you cannot see into the actual pub or out onto the car park so it really is a nice place. With good food and drinks at very good prices you cannot really go wrong.
