"Now you all know by now how much I love to shop and I have been quite good this week and have refrained from going into town for the beginning of the week. Whenever I think of modern, reasonably priced and good quality female fashion I think of the shop Jane Norman.

Jane Norman;
Jane Norman offers all females a shop full of the latest fashions in clothing. They also sell accessories so you can expect to buy handbags, jewellery and belts from here too.

The Shops;
The shops are well laid out making the stock easily identifiable. I find that the shops are separated into different styles and types of clothing. These sections will be like suits, evening wear and day wear.
Each of the Jane Norman shops I have visited have sufficient space to get wheelchairs and pushchairs through and you will never have any problems as these shops are always clean. The windows, displays and tills always look freshly polished and I never spot any clothes on the floor that have fell off of the hangers and clothes are always located in the right place. What I mean by this is you know when you are in shops and you will spy the same clothes located all around the shop, you will not find this here as all of the same clothes are located together so you can easily look for your size.
The last thing I have to say in the shops is that there appearance is very impressive. I work near the Mailbox in Birmingham so everyday I walk past all of the designer shops such as Armani and Hugo Boss and Jane Norman looks like it should belong here. Window displays hold the newest fashions in clothes and accessories and staff look smart and modern.
The atmosphere in the Jane Norman shops is always good and I think that everyone who shops here has a pleasant experience.

The Clothes;
The clothes that you will find in the shops will depend upon the time of year and what is in fashion as Jane Norman keeps up with the current trends. Yesterday when I visited they still have a small rack of summery clothes and then they have evening wear and new shawls and cardigans. They sell a whole range of tops, trousers, skirts and dresses and they have a decent array of colours to suit every mood.
The only thing I am unsure about is the sizes because I am a size 8 in tops and 10 in bottoms so I know you can get from size 8 but I am not sure what the shop says is the official size they go up to. We have 2 Jane Norman stores here in Birmingham and one says it goes up to a size 16 and the other has 18s in stock so not sure which one is the ultimate answer.
The quality of the clothing is brilliant and every single thing I have had from there has washed well. I do tend to find a lot that I buy from there is dry clean only though so have a quick look at the label before you buy. I have bought a few summer tops, an evening top and a white floaty skirt from there recently and every single item looks good on, fits well and has washed brilliantly. The good thing about Jane Norman is that they haven't got this idea that a size 12 will fit everyone who is a size 12. I mean everyone has been there, you try items on in your size and one is too big and the other too small. Jane Norman clothes seem to be made very finely and all of the clothes will have tightness and also a give about them. I find it awkward to find clothes to fit me but they always seem to get it spot on and now all of my friends shop there. It's just a panic that we are going to go out wearing the same clothes.

Accessories;
They have a good range of accessories but this does depend on the size of the store. The jewellery is lovely and you will find different styles all year round. This year beads have been big and therefore the shop was full of beaded jewellery. Yesterday the jewellery was still beaded but they had also gone a lot more wintery if that makes sense. The colours seemed warmer and the necklaces a bit bigger and they will look great over big woolly jumpers.
The handbags they sell are great quality and they look fashionable. I bought 2 yesterday. One was a reasonably sized clutch bag with black, pink and white circles on the front. The other was a big water proof bag which I am going to use everyday for work. In the summer they had basket bags to suit the season but now they have gone a bit more sensible ready for the cold and wet winter months.

The Price;
Jane Norman is very reasonably priced if you take into consideration the quality of the products. My handbags yesterday cost £5 for the clutch (This was in the sale though, the original price was £13) and £9.99 for the big waterproof bag which has Jane Norman written on the front. My summer tops were little vest tops and they were £8 each in a variety of colours. My strappy evening top was £21.99 and my white skirt was £25 so as you can see the prices are near the same as other shops such as Topshop and Debenhams. The difference is that Jane Norman clothes do look like you have just got them from a designer shop in London as they are that nice.

The Staff;
In the shops near me I have to say the staff are lovely. The shops here are quite small so the staff know the products very well and they are always willing to help. If you can't find your size then you can approach the staff and they will be happy to help locate one either at another store or if they have one that just isn't out on the shelves. Staff are modernly dressed in Jane Norman clothes and they look very smart indeed. Plus it is useful sometimes to see a member of staff wearing a product as it makes you notice that product more.

Verdict;
Shopping in Jane Norman is a very pleasant experience. You come out feeling like you have just bought a designer outfit for a fraction of the price. The clothes are great and they always have a good range of styles in store. I limit my visits because I know that if I walk in there I will want to buy something so usually only go in there when I know I want something. Yesterday I went in there to get a big bag and look I came out with a clutch bag too. I am bad yes I know.
The sales are good in this shop too as they slash the prices like crazy giving you up to 70% off the original price.
Another thing I have to mention but it may seem a bit sad is the bags they give you. Now when you walk into a shop and buy a product you usually get given a plastic carrier bag that is awkward to hold and let's face it looks ugly. At Jane Norman you get gorgeous bright bags with string for you to hold and they have cardboard at the bottom so your products can lie a little flat. May seem a sad point to mention but honestly these bags are great for recycling. I use mine everyday for work to transport my jacket and lunch in and my last bag lasted over 3 months so the one I got yesterday I hope is going to last the same.
With a modern feeling and modern fashions, Jane Norman is a must for all females who want the designer look at 10% of the price. I am happy to recommend the shop to all and hope you find some great fashions like I have.
