"Drumpellier country park can be found to the west of Coatbridge, and is open all year round except the 25th 26th December and the 1st and 2nd of January.
The park is 500 acres and has two natural lochs, and the Monklands canal is also on the perimeter of the park, having the lochs and the canal attracts a lot of water birds and also makes a lovely spot to stop and have a leisurely picnic. At the park you will find they have a cafeteria so if you wish you can buy something to each and not have to rush home for meal times. As well as some gorgeous nature trails and ranger walks, you can go canoeing or take a boat ride; you can take your kids to the children's nature club.
If you have small children you would love this place, you can go back time and time again and you still wont get to see all of it, with the acres and acres of open land where children and parents alike can un around and burn of energy, you can take long picnics under the tress's next to the loch or the canal. While there you can also take some time and go shopping in the many shops in Coatbridge, it also make a great place to visit and relax after spending hours of shopping"
