"Limerick is a busy, progressive city which is also a great place of education, housing thousands students of the University of Limerick. It is a city with a Medieval and intriguing history and yet is also a great commercial/tourist centre. Co. Limerick has a whole range of visitor attractions that are really worth exploring. Attractions include the Adare Heritage Centre on Adare's beautiful main street; Croom Mills Waterwheel,the Heritage Centre, the Foynes Flying Boat Museum, Celtic Park and Gardens; Curraghchase Forest Park and Lough Gur, habitat of Neolithic Man and one of Ireland's most important archaeological sites.Lough Gur Stone Age Centre,the most important Stone Age site in Ireland,and definatly worth a look. Today Limerick is a great, progressive and busy City. Its has lots of castles, walls and museums to veiw. worth seeing is 'the Treaty Stone" and King John's Castle which is in the Heritage area as well as the magnificent Hunt Museum in Limerick's Custom House. This museum houses an internationally important collection of some 2,000 original works including pieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Renoir and Picasso. truley a beautiful place to visit for a day or maybe stay for a weekend. its certainly has plenty for everyone to enjoy young and old alike!with breathtaking countryside amazing veiws and many hidden treasures to explore."
