"Dam flask Reservoir is a fantastic walk located in the Sheffield area. The full walk around this reservoir takes around 3.5 miles/6km which will take about 1 1/2 hours. This walk is fantastic, it's very low level and has a good surface throughout. There are no stiles or any form of obstructions. This is perfect for wheelchair users, wheelchair users are recommended to do the walk the opposite way around due to a moderate climb going the normal way start off following the road.
To get to Dam flask follow the Strines off the Dual carriageway Stocksbride bypass. Make sure you start the Stockbridge bypass by the flouch inn pub. Continue this on towards dewent valley going right at all junctions. Then turn off down to lower dewent. Turn down by the pub and park your car anywhere here. The walk is very scenic and it's beautiful. Perfect for a picnic or a nice walk on a weekend or weekday.
You go over bridges, passed boating clubs, through woods its very advententurous and like no other walk. There is not one boring part to it, it's immense."
