"Going to the cinemas to watch a film is a love of mine so finding the right cinema is a must. So Cineworld in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton is where I sometimes go. Situated in the middle of a shopping complex it is in quite a good location. It is also surrounded by restaurants which are pretty good. Cineworld is located in quite a busy area, lots of people around. It does overlook an industrial estate which is a bad thing, but who goes to the cinema for the view outside?
What we do go for is the movies, which Cineworld in Wednesfield does show. On a normal day Cineworld will show all of the mainstream movies out that week. It also shows many other films which other cinemas wouldn't such as Independent or Bollywood movies. Strangely enough what I find is it sometimes shows movies that have been out for months so it's pretty good if you forgot to see something and can't wait for it to come out on DVD. So for the variety of movies shown this cinema is pretty good.
The actual cinema itself is very nice. Its big, has good lighting, electronic boards saying what films there are, times and availability. There are posters all around of different movies and seats and stools for people waiting for films. The main desk is quite large but can only serve two customers at a time; however they are quite efficient so they get to you pretty fast. The confectionary stand is quite good and serves everything you could possibly want to eat while watching a movie. They have popcorn, ice slushy, sweets, chocolate, drinks, nachos and many more. So at first glances this seems like a pretty good cinema, large, lots of movies and good food.
So now for the important bit, where we watch the movie. Sitting down for hours at a time can be a bit hard, so when watching a movie at the cinema we want to be comfortable. At Cineworld the rooms are absolutely massive and can fit hundreds in a single screening of a film. The chairs are all tiered so no matter how tall the person is in front of you, you can always see the screen. The chairs are all plush, comfy and very big with cup holders. I watched King Kong at this cinema and I was just fine sitting down for those few hours because the chairs are extremely comfy. The screens are massive and the sound quality is very good. What I like about here is that it is also kind of sound proof, no matter how loud the movie is next door, you cannot hear it at all. The floors of the cinema are also magically not sticky which always bugs me in other cinemas. The leg room is fantastic, I can always stretch out quite easily without really bugging the person in front of me. So overall the actual screening of the film is a great experience.
The service at Cineworld is quite good. They are usually quite quick, however you do sometimes get a right drone who takes ages, but this is quite rare. What I also like is the fact that people come in at various times in the film to make sure no-one is causing any trouble. They are also very quick to eject anyone from the cinema who has continually been a nuisance.
The prices here are pretty expensive considering other cinemas I have been to. It is £6 per adult for one movie. The students, children, OAPs and adults on a weekday it is £4.50. The confectionary is pretty much the normal price you would expect to pay at a cinema, so a bit expensive. For popcorn it is from £2.50 to £5, drinks are around £2.50 each and the packets of chocolate are at different prices but quite expensive. I would suggest buying some from a store and taking them in you bag.
Overall I like this cinema and try to go whenever I want to see a movie and don't want to travel all that far. The service is adequate, the food is good but pricey, the admission is good for me as a student, but it is the actual screening of the film which makes the cinema so worthwhile.
