"Lichfield is a picturesque city in Staffordshire. I go there a few times each month either just to have a potter round or to get some shopping done. Although you can't really get that much shopping because they're aren't really that many shops. Even though it is small it is described as a city because of its amazing Cathedral which I have been round and must say it is worth going just to view this beautiful building.
Lichfield is a very green place with lots of fields, trees and parks to walk around. The main park in Lichfield is quite large and has a wide expanse of green for you to walk around. It's a lovely place to go on a sunny day and everyone there is quite friendly. Lichfield is also in a very good location as it is close to everything, including the motorways. There are also fun places to go which are only a ten minute drive from Lichfield including craft villages and paintball sites. Lichfield is primarily a shopping place with high street stores such as Woolworths, WH Smith, GAME, New Look and Dorothy Perkins. For clothes shopping it is a bit limited as they are the only two main clothes shops in Lichfield. However for craft gifts there are quite a few shops such as the Bead Shop which actually sees quite a lot of custom. It has many of the smaller shops such as Smart Ideas, Costa Coffee, Superdrug and Argos. It also has quite an impressive TJ Hughes that is massive and a place where you can get quite a few deals. It is quite limited if you are an avid shopper and like hours worth of shops but for people who like a walk and some shopping in a lovely place Lichfield is for you. The best part of Lichfield I find is the restaurants. Lichfield can boast dozens of restaurants which are absolutely gorgeous, the few I've been in mind. Pastiche has to be my favourite but there are others such as Indians and the Chinese restaurant Lee Gardens which is lovely. Lichfield at night is lovely and has a great atmosphere; all the bars are lit up and everyone is in good spirits. Lichfield is also very good as it has quite a low crime rate so you feel very safe there. Very little litter, there hardly ever seems to be any. Chavs are quite rare as well, which is always a good sign for a place. Overall I love Lichfield and try to go whenever I get the chance. In fact I should go now to do some Christmas shopping! To get to Lichfield if you can get there by a few methods. Either use the M6 and get off at junction 5 towards Lichfield. Get on the A5026 which leads you to London Road which if you stay on it takes you into the centre of Lichfield. Parking is quite easy in Lichfield as there a few car parks, however it can get rather busy so you have to go round a few times.
