"For my 20th Birthday I decided that I wanted to go out for a meal with all of my family. It took ages trying to decide where to go, but in the end we went to The Cinnamon restaurant in Pelsall where I live.
Now The Cinnamon is an Indian restaurant situated just off Wolverhampton Road in Pelsall. The easiest way to get there is to get off the A5 and drive towards Pelsall, at the fingerpost turn towards Bloxwich. The Cinnamon is located just off this road, it is very clear to see as it is lit up very tastefully so everyone can see it.
The car park isn't the biggest I have seen but it can fit quite a few cars in so don't worry about parking, it always seems relatively busy inside the few times I've been and we have been able to find a spot. So walking inside the restaurant seems extremely pleasant. It is quite large with white walls and some nice comfy chairs in case you have to wait for a table. The place looked very clean and spacious and had soft music playing in the background. The people who greet you are very friendly and ask if you would like anything while you wait. On first impressions it looks like a great place to eat.
So on sitting down for our meal we came to a large table as there were 10 of us but it still seemed quite cosy which was nice. The menus are pretty good, everything you could ever want to eat from an Indian was on there including some English dishes. The man who took are orders was very patient as it did take us all a long time to get our orders in.
The food didn't take all that long to come, maybe twenty minutes. When it got to the table they were massive portions. I had the chicken Korma which was absolutely beautiful! Everyone else loved their meals and I must say the naan bread was probably the best I've ever tasted. They were very well presented and all in dishes that the waiters served out to us and all very filling! The desert menu looked great with a variety of different puddings such as ice cream and a strange waffle one which looked rather interesting. I didn't have one as I was so full from the meal but other people did and said they were lovely.
The prices were ok but considering how great the food was it seems worth it. Each meal typically cost about £10 each with drinks in the area of £2-3 each depending on what you had. Expect the meal to come to around £15 as you sometimes need to pay separately for rice and naan bread. However it is such a nice place that the price is definitely worth it.
Overall I thought it was a lovely restaurant, the food was great, the rooms clean and good looking and the waiters were very efficient. The prices were quite good considering what a nice place it is, you would certainly expect more if it was anywhere else. I would recommend The Cinnamon a restaurant must if you are ever in the neighbourhood as the food is simply delicious and shouldn't be missed.
