"Set in the south of Cornwall is this quaint olde worldy fishing village. Where you can wander down the narrow alleys and browse the gift shops and local art shops and see work of the local artists.
If you walk to the end of the harbour wall you can sit and look out on to the Atlantic Ocean, . Here you can sit enjoying a traditional cornish pasty that has been freshly made that day, watching the many fishing boats coming and going to sea. Fishing still remains one of the main occupations of the locals and visitors are able to take fishing trips for deep sea angling and shark fishing from the harbour. There are a variety of places that you can get something to eat ranging from just a snack to a full 3 course meal. Most cater for children as well, although some are a bit narrow to fit a buggy in. Even though Mevagissey is a small village it is extremely popular with visitors. It is almost impossible to take your car through the village so car parks have been set up just outside, leaving you a short walk into town. I can definatley recommend this" | |
