"Between Aberystwyth and Ponterwyd there is a fantastic kite-feeding centre where between 20 and 50 red kites fly over the forest and lake to be fed between 2pm and 3pm every day. There are also excellent walks and bike trails with splendid views across the Rheidol Valley. In addition there is an excellent cafe serving home-made hot and cold meals. You can eat inside or out on the decking overlooking the lake. This is a wonderful country resource for all those looking for a place to take children and explore the woodland or just chill out watching the birds."

I took my family and we just missed the feed, however we were informed the Kites would group up and come and feed again - this was a beautiful site - 50-60 kites in the locality.

What I liked was you paid to park, then you could see the kites, go off walking or cycling and come back and let the kids have a play whilst you had a drink at the cafe.

Will definitely come to this attraction again.
