"Now in my opinion I work way too hard, and this most of the time is my reason for taking a lunchtime trip to caffe gusto. Now don't think I have spelt café wrong as that is how they spell it there. It is a sandwich place which specialises in great bespoke sandwiches, panini's and fantastic smoothies. In short it is a yummy place which is so tempting you have to go in. hopefully in this review I will tell you why it is so lovely to eat here.
The caffe gusto I go to is situated in the Mailbox in Birmingham and the address is as follows;

In terms of location this caffe gusto is in a great spot. It is situated in the Mailbox in the middle of Birmingham city centre. The Mailbox is a short walk away from train and bus links and it is a very nice place to walk around as it is full of lovely shops and is a great place for bars and restaurants. Caffe Gusto is situated in a corner with seating inside and out and is always bristling with activity.
You walk in and everywhere is brightly decorated and you can see all of the food on offer. There are menus you can look at but the best thing to do is think about what you fancy and let them know and they will make it for you. Much better than going somewhere and buying a prepacked lunch.
For sandwiches, rolls, tortillas, baguettes, salads and paninis you can probably expect to pay about £3. you walk in there and the staff will ask you what you would like. There is a good selection of breads and then fillings so meats, vegetables and a lot of sauces. You can sit in or take away but it is a nice feeling that you can get fresh ingredients and watch it being made so you can have as much or as little as you want.
I have been in there before and had sandwiches with one thing on and then next time had about five but that is the beauty of choosing everything yourself. There is a small charge of about 40p to sit in and eat but it is nice as you can sit and watch the Mailbox and everybody walking by.
You can also buy lasagne and pizza here which I have tried both and they are both delicious. The smoothies here are fabulous and you can choose from a selection they have in the fridges there already made or you can customise your own and they will make it. They are about £2.50 but very big so you can feel quite full after drinking one of them quickly.
Then they have a fantastic selection of home made cakes and flapjacks which are £1.50 - 2 each but are delicious. I have tried quite a few and the maple and pecan cake is the best and I could eat loads.
They do also sell things like croissants and breakfast foods in the morning so you can get everything you fancy really. You can buy chocolate bars, normal bottled drinks and crisps so there are a few normal things there. The staff are very busy at all times but are usually very friendly and sometimes you can get vouchers for buy one get one free and free drinks with sandwiches so look out for those.
In conclusion I think caffe gusto in the mailbox has a great location and has a great selection of foods and everybody should find something they fancy in there. The place smells lovely and the food tastes brilliant and you really do feel like you are getting a good service.
