"Having a home in Wales since I was seven years old means that I have travelled to and visited a lot of places. One of the places that we repeatedly visit though is Talyllyn lake which is a beautiful area with not much to do there but that is the charm. I have spent many an hour at this lake and it is always a lovely time as you just feel so relaxed. I will get over to you in this review why you should visit.
First where to find it:

Now as you can probably guess, the lake doesn't have a specific address so I have given you the hotel which is right on the lake so you can find it. To get there you do really have to drive there as there is a small car park but I am not sure that any public transport comes down that way.
So the drive to the lake is stunning as you have to drive through the Welsh mountains which boast some fantastic scenery. When you get there you will marvel at the beauty of the lake. It is just so stunning!!!
It is a massive lake with hills all around and the air is just so fresh you could breathe it in all day. It looks beautiful and there is such a peaceful air about the place that you instantly begin to relax. There is some fantastic wildlife to be seen around the lake as birds are always there and it is just gorgeous.
You can walk and paddle in the lake which is nice but trust me very cold!!! There are also a lot of walks around so you can be there for hours really. There is a hotel there and although I have never stayed there, I have eaten quite a few times and it has always been a pleasant meal indeed.
The lake has a beautiful graveyard by it and it also is very close to Tywyn which is a nice place to visit.
I think the thing about Talyllyn lake is that it is just such a nice place to go and relax and me and my family have literally spent all day there doing nothing before and loved it. It is one of those places to go and marvel at beauty and nothing else.
Just as an afterthought the food at the hotel is very reasonable and costs around £6 for a main course ad a couple of pounds for a drink. They also sell ice-creams there which is nice on a hot summers day.
I think Talyllyn lake is a nice place to go whatever the weather and that it should be visited all year round. I have been going for years and I will for years to come. It is simply stunning!!!
