"Tywyn is one of the places we cisit in Wales at least a few times a year because it is a nice place to go and there is plenty to do which is always good. It is one of those places that not many people even know is there but trust me it is worth a visit and I will let you know why in this review.
How to find Tywyn: Tywyn Gwynedd LL36 If you follow the above beginning of the post code then you should be able to find Tywyn. By car it is pretty easy as you can follow signs when you are in mid Wales and there are plenty of car parks there. By train there is a train station which you can get to which takes you into the centre. Then bus links are via nearby towns so if you live near it should be fine for you. Ok so let's go through what Tywyn has to offer. Shopping: First the most important part is shopping and Tywyn does not have many big name shops to attract people, but instead it has quite unusual and unique shops to keep you entertained. There are a few nice souvenir shops which sell as you can guess souvenirs but also nice things for your home. Then you have sports shops, model shops, clothes shops, craft shops, shoe shops, video shop and newsagents. I think the main thing to realise though is that these are all quite small shops but you may not have seen anything they sell before which is a treat with all shops being the same nowadays. Eating: Now Tywyn has some nice cafes and bakeries dotted around so you can get some food there and we have always had nice food. It also has some fish and chip shops around which are always good if you are hungry. Restaurant wise it has not got much and to be honest I don't know of any in the centre itself to tell you about. Beach: Tywyn has a beach but it is a pebbly one just to warn you. On a nice summers day though it is lovely to just come here and relax watching everybody having fun. No sand does not mean that people don't come and treat it as a nice beach and it offers some fabulous views across the sea. Markets: Tywyn market is the main reason that we come to Tywyn every year as it is massive and spreads across all of the streets of Tywyn so as you can imagine there is a lot to see and be brought. It gets very busy on these days and the atmosphere is fantastic and we always have a nice time and bump into people we know. Throughout the summer you can see the market every week which is good but do get there early as parking can be a bit of a pain. Nearby Attractions: Nearby you have Aberdyfi which is the best beach to go to in Wales as far as I'm concerned. I love it there. Also in Tywyn you can go to the honey ice-cream factory which trust me is worth a visit as it is just yummy. There are also a lot of walks around and the drive around Tywyn is just fabulous. Events: It is worth telling you about an event that Tywyn has every year which is race the train which is fabulous to go and see people do as the atmosphere is electric with everybody having fun. Fantastic!!! You do have to enter to be a part but to be honest I have been a wimp and never entered. Maybe one day. All in all Tywyn is a nice place to go to and if you are in Mid Wales then it is definitely worth a visit. Thanks for reading. xxx" | |
