Cockleshells Cottage, Weymouth, Dorset

"We recently enjoyed a family short break in Weymouth, in a charming cottage called 'cockleshells' situated in the old harbour area of town.
This fisherman's cottage is set just one street away from the popular Brewers Quay, a redeveloped Victorian brewery, which is now a specialist shopping centre, perfect for a rainy day, Brewer Quay is set within the historic Hope Square, where there are a number of cafes, bars and bistros.
Cockleshells is a bow fronted property within walking distance from the town centre, Nothe Gardens and Nothe Fort. The main golden sandy beach is around a ten minute walk.
We found the storey cottage to be really well equipped. The accommodation comprised of a Lounge with dining area, a galley kitchen, ground floor bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. On the first floor were two good size bedrooms; one double, one twin, and a toilet with hand basin. There was a 2nd floor (via steep winding stairs): with a third twin bedroom.
The kitchen was well equipped with all the utensils you would need, a fridge/freezer and washing machine. A nice touch was the range of board games and books.
The only downside was the restricted parking outside of the property. There is allocated permit parking outside of the cottage, which you can park on for one hour only. There is a couple of pay and display car parks nearby though."
