"You can circumnavigate Derwentwater “Queen of the lakes” from Keswick on foot or take the Keswick launch, it takes about 4 hours to walk round the lake and about an hour on the boat, you can if you wish do both! Try taking the Keswick launch to Hawes End then walking up to High Brandlehowe and across the duck boards to the road, turn right and in just a few minutes walking you will come to High Lodore Farm where you will find a treasure of hot and cold food and drink, you can then either walk back to Keswick or walk to Lodore Hotel Boat landings and hop on the next launch back to Keswick"
