"For a lovely day out in the Devon countryside, I couldn't recommend Combe Martin Wildlife and dinosaur park more. We were looking for something different to do in summer 2008 and didn't have a clue up to 11 oclock that morning. We were in North Devon and scoured the little brochures we'd picked up from reception. The dinosaur park caught the 11 yr old's eye and he insisted we went. We set off for the 45 min drive and got there about 12pm. To be honest I don't really like spending whole days at attractions and find them tiring but I wish I'd got to the dinosaur park much earlier. It's not that there are millions of things to do, more like there's such a large area to wander around. I didn't realise that there would be such lovely gardens and wooded areas so nicely tucked away in the Devon hills.

We started wth our own picnic and there were so many places to sit down and relax. I would suggest taking a picnic as some friends said food was quite expensive (where isn't?) and there wasn't a huge choice of healthy stuff.

After our lovely picnic we set about seeing what there was and certainly weren't disappointed. There were the walks with the dinosaurs that the boy simply loved. There were the wild animals. Various shows including sea lions and wolves. There's an indoor light show which was quite random. Basically a right mixed bag that will keep all members of the family amused for many hours. All in all a lovely day out.
