"By far Wells' most popular pub on a Friday and a Saturday night, the Fleece caters for the more everyday clientele of Wells next the sea. It's a young person's pub at heart, though it remains open all day and during the summer months offers cheap and cheerful bar food with a commanding view over the quay and marshes from the second floor dining room.
Because of its popularity with the younger part of Wells-next-the-Sea, the Fleece can become very crowded during the summer, and its proximity to the quay also encourages a large amount of people. Nevertheless, there is a relaxed atmosphere to the pub, and it is the only pub to offer a jukebox, other than the private Wells Memorial Club. It all depends what you're looking for - if you want a lively but relaxed pint with some music and maybe a television playing in the background, The Fleece is right up your street."
