"When arriving back to the UK after been aboard I think the one thing that most people have missed in good old traditional English food. How convenient then that just 1 minute down the road from Leeds Bradford airport is a fantastic fish and chip shop called Murgatroyd's. Murgatroyds is a restaurant but also has a takeaway area and park benches outside. This is a very popular spot and expect to have to que to be seated at peak times but the service is very slick so you wont need to wait long before your seated. Obliviously this is a fish restaurant so there's plenty of fish dishes on the menu if your not a fish fan they have some veggie options too. Main courses start from 7.95 there's also a kiddie menu starting from 4.95 with an ice cream pudding. Also there a senior citizen menu with some great special offers including 3 course menu with a pot of tea for 8.95.The food itself was lovely the I had haddock and chips and it was cook beautifully. The portions where large so expect to be full I certainly didn't have any room left for dessert. The restaurant itself is huge and to say it gets so busy it doesn't seem over crowded as there is lots of room between the tables and seating areas. A nice little touch when you leave is they have lollies or sweets for customers. Open 7 days aweek from 11.30am There is plenty of parking too.

Comments Submitted by Jenny on Wednesday, 9th March 2011, 3:26pm Food great but 3 course is too much sometimes and if you miss desert you still have to pay the same price seniors which does not seem fair when you pay an extra £1-50 for prawn cocktailSubmitted by Luke on Wednesday, 5th January 2011, 1:16pm Writing this from the restaurant. Brilliant food. Very happy to stumble across this place. Food great, portions great. Can't fault a think. The toilet even has a self cleaning seat!
