"One of the most fantastic places in the world, never mind the UK. Every time we come back to the UK we make a point of visiting Chinatown and one of the copious Chinese Restaurants serving some of the most wonderful food available anywhere in the world.
You'll find Chinatown close to shaftsbury avenue but if you're anywhere in central London, you'll find it via the signs, or if you're downwind, your nose. Just being there is an experience all of it's own, and that part costs nothing. It really does feeel like you're in a bustling Chinese City with food and Chinese fare being the order of the day. Just check out the food hanging in the restaraunts windows - our kids even love being there, and that's something considering they're not a giant screen or video game in site. Warning, there are some restaraunts that don't give the impression of being the most friendly, but don't let it bother you. It's the way they are, and you'll often find that's where the Chinese themselves eat. If they chinese eat there, then that tells me that they serve the best food, and wow, I'm not one to argue. Treat yourself in the new year and get down to Chinatown. Happy new year everybody. :) J" | |
