"I last went to london zoo 13 years ago and as i live only 20 miles from it I thought it was high time I paid it another visit. I know zoos aren't everybody's cup of tea, but I love them and make a point of visiting them wherever I go in the world. Without breaking down every single part of the day out Ill summarise with the following.

Visit the gorillas. Especially if you have a boy. We went for just an afternoon and really regret not going earlier as we simply couldnt pack it all in.

There are some fantastic shows put on. If you can take some in then do so!!!

I was warned that there were animals in very cramped conditions, but the way I look at it, at least theyre not being ripped apart by larger predators, or dieing from drought, and seem to be excellently looked after."
