A lovely low cost lunchProhibitionFood - Restaurant/Cafes in/near Leeds, Yorkshire, England Yorkshire View Map Review added: 05/11/2009 15:20 By: hellbell (£12.50 earned from reviews) Earn £££'s
"Cheap and cheerful and never too packed this is a great place for a working lunch. A stylish ambiance with out any pretence and the price is right once the menu is opened. This is a firm favourite with the girls from work as the service for lunch time is quick with a nice varied menu, Nachos, fajitas, prawns and a good selection of salads and sandwiches all at a reasonable price. The trick is to pick what you want wisely. I personally eat out quite regularly for lunch in Leeds as it is a welcome break from the office but I begrudge paying too much for these little breaks as it is amazing how much these add up to over the months. I would say an average meal here would be around £10 per head with an evening meal rising to around £20 but if you look at the menu and pick your drinks wisely then the price can be halved. Variety is the spice of life but when eating here I stick to what I know and enjoy……….. A fish finger sandwich, under £5 comes between a lovely crunchy bread roll with a tartar type sauce, lots of fries and some lovely coleslaw, accompany this with a blackcurrant cordial and hey presto lunch for under £5.50 and very tasty at that. It is quite a large dining area but get there early and jump into a booth for an American feel dining experience. I have eaten here once in the evening after being drawn out of the fish bowl competition (drop a business card in a bowl and the winner wins a free meal) and took along my BF and a friend for our free meal, was lovely and service good but felt more like a chilled out day time place to eat and didn't have the right ambiance for the evening I felt.
If you live in Leeds and like interesting things to do then I would definitely recommend dropping in a business card as I regularly receive VIP offers and invitations to various events being held here, last year was a fashion show including nibbles, free drinks and a gift bag and recently was invited to a Christmas themed taster night to promote Christmas bookings, again nibbles, free drink etc. The location is brilliant on Greek street right in the heart of the action and businesses and only a few minutes walk to the train station. Massive screen for sport lovers and regular live music events. A really nice chilled out place." | |
